Kia ora, I'm Sean.

I'm a full stack developer with a product mindset. I work mostly in React and Node.js but I love picking up new tools. I'm looking for a role where I can use both my product & engineering skills.

About Me

Portrait of Sean

I come from a Product Management and Support background - I love finding & solving problems that cause customer frustration. I decided to make the jump to engineering so that I can build those solutions myself.

I completed the full stack development bootcamp at Dev Academy at the end of 2025 and since then have been working across multiple personal projects to continue that learning. Right now I'm learning C# and exploring AI assisted development.

Tools I work with

  • React
  • TypeScript
  • Node.js
  • SQL
  • Git
  • Vitest
  • HTML & CSS
  • C#

Backlog

An all-in-one media backlog tracker for movies, TV shows, books, & games. Discover new content and connect with friends to share recommendations.

Backlog is my first AI-built full stack application. While Claude wrote most of the code, I handled writing specs, reviewing/debugging the generated code, making architecture decisions, and deploying.

Clicker

A cross-platform auto clicker. Capture cursor positions and it alternates clicks between them with a randomised cadence - stopping when you move the mouse or press a key.

I had been spending a bit of time using AI to build Backlog, so I wanted a more hands-on project to make sure I wasn't going rusty. It's built in C#, which I had limited experience with before and can be built to run on macOS and Windows.

Shoplock

An almost 1:1 replica of the item shop from Valve's game Deadlock. View live item data fetched from the community API and create a build of your desired items.

I really like a lot of the UI and interactions in this game. I wanted to look under the hood to see how Valve does this, so I learnt about their Panorama UI system and did my best to rebuild the shop as a fully front-end app - including animations and sound effects.
